Recently, the researchers in CHMFL, led by Prof. Pi Li , discovered strong anisotropy and extremely high coercivity in weak ferromagnetic LuFeO3 using X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) and other measurement systems. The results reveal that LuFeO3 is a kind of super hard magnetic material.
From July 18 -20, Prof. Moses Chan, member of the American Academic Sciences, the first director of Nanoscale Science Center in Pennsylvania State University paid a tour to High Magnetic Field Lab. Chinese Academy of Sciences in Hefei and presented a lecture.
I was deep impressed by the progress in CHMFL. There were many similarities in our two Laboratories. I would like to see more personnel exchanging and Experience sharing between the two labs, said Dr. Jos Perenboom.
