Jan.11, 2013, David Pho, S&T officer of Dutch Embassy, visited CHMFL. Deep impressed by the national key scientific facilities, he hope to promote the scientific exchange and cooperation between Netherlands and China.
A combined testing experiment on WM4, the first resistive magnet, was carried out at CHMFL on Jan. 16th 2013. A field strength of 26.5 tesla was reached with 10 megawatt/ 20000-A DC current input.
Prof. dr.ir.Jan Kees Maan, the director of the High Field Magnet Laboratory (HFML)at the Radboud University of Nijmegen, Netherlands and his wife visited CHMFL, from Nov. 22 to 25, 2012. On behalf of the two laboratories, Prof. Kuang GUangli and Prof. Maan signed a Memorandum of Understanding dur...
On July 20, 2012, the installation and debugging of a 600MHz solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy has been completed in CHMFL.It passed the review of experts from administration department of CAS and has been put into normal operation.
Recently, the researchers in CHMFL, led by Prof. Pi Li , discovered strong anisotropy and extremely high coercivity in weak ferromagnetic LuFeO3 using X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) and other measurement systems. The results reveal that LuFeO3 is a kind of super hard magnetic material.
